SJCC July 5th Event

We had a terrific dinner and were entertained by the Crazy Daysies on July 5th, 2016.

More May Hole in Ones

Barb McGrath had a hole-in-one on Sunday, May 22, on Mangrove hole # 8 using her 9 iron for 92 yards.

 

Bill Davis got a hole-in-one on May 26 on the 8th hole of Hacienda Hills-Lakes using a 6 hybrid for 141 yards.

 

Stuart White had a hole-in-one on May 30th on Bacall #4 with a 9 iron for 126 yards.

Congratulations Barb, Bill and Stuart!  Great golfing!

Glow Golf - May 21, 2016

Forty SJCC members had a wonderful night of glow golf on Saturday the 21^st of May.  The weather was perfect and the full moon made playing fun.  Kudos go out to all for an impressive layout at the tailgate party.  We teed off around 8:45 PM and finished around 11:00 PM.  To everyone’s credit the scores on the Par 27 Saddlebrook course were incredibly low running from 26 to 31.  All of the teams were recognized and received monetary gifts for their efforts.

We’ve scheduled one more glow golf event this year on September 15 so there’s opportunity for those who were unable to play in May.  Watch for more information in the newsletter as the September date approaches.

May 2016 Hole in Ones

Congratulations to Dave Spratt who got a hole-in-one on May 14 on the 2nd hole of Bogart using a pitching wedge for 102 yards.

April 2016 Hole in Ones

Linda Teza got a hole-in-one on the first hole of Okechobee on April 14th using a sand wedge.

Rick Phelps got a hole-in-one on April 22nd on hole #3 on Saddlebrook using his pitching wedge for 128 yards.

Terri Earhart got a  hole-in-one on April 27th on the 3rd hole of Palmetto using a 4-wood for 107 yards.

Congratulations to our latest hole-in-one aces!

Rick Wolf got a hole-in-one on February 15th on the 4th hole of Palmetto with a 5 iron for 106 yds.

 

And not to be outdone, Bill Uphaus got a hole-in-one on February 18th on the 5th hole of Destin at Bonifay Country Club using his pitching wedge for a 120 yd shot!

Two Ladies get Holes-in-One

The Nine & Dine Diva golf group had two ladies get holes-in-one Monday, February 1, on Bonita Pass.  

Deb Spratt got the first one on hole #1, using a 4-hybrid for 111 yards.  

Linda Emley got the second one on hole #8,  98 yards with a driver. 

Glow Golf

January 19, 2016 - In spite of temperatures in the mid to high 40s the sky was clear, the moon was out, and the wind was nonexistent so we had a wonderful evening of glow golf.  Twenty eight hearty souls participated in a very impressive tailgate party, kudos to all for the great eats.  We teed off at 6:15 PM.  The top three teams were recognized and received monetary gifts for their efforts.

First place at two under par: Jon Horscheit; Cheryl Smith; Russ and Gloria Henault   

Second place at one under par: Larry and Debbie Kasevich, and Keith and Bev McBurnie

Third place at three over par: David and Cheryl Dennis, and Lise and David Hudder

The rest of us had a great time participatingJ

 

We’ve scheduled two more glow golf events this year the first on May 21 and the second on September 15 so there’s plenty of opportunity for all to participate.  Watch for more information in the newsletter as the dates approach.
